2016 – Micro MBA ‘Smart Energy and Change’

On Thursday 22 September, EDI organised another Micro MBA in cooperation with Nyenrode Business University. This year’s theme was ‘Smart Energy’. An interesting topic as it is now more relevant than ever. With 2016 being already the warmest year on average, since meteorologists started recording temperatures, the effects of climate change are getting more real. This forces us even more to rethink how we organise both our environment and energy supply in a sustainable and smart way.

150 Young Professionals from various companies came together to listen and discuss solutions for smart energy. They also tried to identify the stumbling blocks within their respective companies, preventing them from adapting effectively and rapidly. The subject came alive with inspiring lectures from Frits Verheij (DNV GL), Guillaume Mancini (Tesla), Auke Hoekstra (TU Eindhoven), Yousri Mandour (ICSB) and Roland van Rooyen (The city of Rotterdam). The micro session was moderated by Erhan Tanercan (Leadership, Consult & Training).
